DST Insanity
This is a new syndrome. It's temporary insanity caused by the upcoming changes to Daylight Saving Time, known affectionately as DST2007. There are 4 weekends (aka change management windows) between now and D(ST)-day). See The guys over at Technology Rage for a countdown clock.
But some normally sane people have slipped over the edge. Kathleen McGivney posts some novel strategies for dealing with the changes, and even links to a guy with one of the most notable ideas yet. Chris Miller has provided some really great podcasts on DST, but has clearly gone over the edge while facing his world-wide data center upgrade, and has conspired with Andy P (a normally quiet, helpful type) to come up with some novel solutions to frustrating scenarios.
I personally like the idea of Approximate Freetime Lookup, and if I could get my Blackberry Desktop Manager software installed, I'd play that game.
I have a theory that the reason Chris is headed to Las Vegas this weekend is so he can avoid clocks all together for a while. Anyone who has ever been there knows that there are no clocks in that town, therefore DST rules don't apply.
I myself am fine. Note my new poem as an example. Again, this was created by taking the secret email messages I get in my ISP account and formatting them correctly in order to de code the poem.

See, I'm fine - Good luck with your weekend tests and upgrades - let me know how it goes!
