Off to Camp - AdminCamp that is
I'm headed to camp, specifically AdminCamp - blogmonkey in tow. I'm sitting on the ICE high seed train from Frankfurt, headed to Dusseldof and then on camp. Rudi and the guys have been great about telling me how to get where I need to go. I got to fly over on a plane that a neighbor worked as a flight attendant. I got to hang out with him on a Rhine River cruise and hang out with the other nice USAirways crew a little. One of the pilots even let the monkey wear (or sit on) his hat. The monkey wanted to drive the plane, but the pilot said no - and threatened to do what Max the Dog did last weekend.
If you're near Germany or can get there, head on down. The lineup looks awesome. I'll be doing a session on AdminP, one on C&S and a hands-on DDM workshop - built on SLES10. Most of the sessions are in German, but mine and this guy's will be in English. I'll be answering questions between sessions, and I may try to sit through some of the German language sessions just to see what I can understand. I'm good at ordering bier and finding toiletten here, not so great with the rest, but I'm working on it.
I'm traveling with a phone that works here - specifically the cool Blackberry 8830, so that's fun. The entirely civilized rail system here is more comfortable and faster than flight in my opinion (in spite of the valiant efforts of the USAirways crew to convince me otherwise.). So here I sit, with hot coffee, scads of legroom, for 60 Euros, now pulling into Koln.
Anyway, pictures will be posted on the badge over there on the left during the week. There are some from the Monkey's Labor Day holiday also.
