Notes C&S Schema

It's never a dull moment in my new job.  I addition to helping ISVs get ready to have their products working with ND8,  I've been doing some writing.  The first of  the documents to be published is the new (and improved) C&S Schema document.  Find it here:  (remember to right mouse click to open the link if you want the native URL which is  - http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/documentation/dw-l-calendarschema.html.)

So what's this document about?  Well, if you're a developer (I am SO not one of those), it details  the Forms and Fields used in the C&S workflow in Notes.  (I would say all of them, but there are some I couldn't finish in time - like ToDos)   If you're not a developer, it contains many new pages of text and some diagrams that explain how things work.  It even explains repeating meetings.  No kidding -it really does.

I had help in doing this of course.  The brains came  from Youcef Bennour, who presented the session "Calendaring and Scheduling 101: How to Use IBM Lotus Notes and Domino Calendar and Scheduling in your Applications" at Lotusphere this year.    His presentation and podcast has been posted over here  (http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/podcast/lotus/dw-l-notescalendar.html?S_TACT=105AGX13&S_CMP=LP).   This material will go hand in hand with the new document.   The editing is done by brilliant editors you do that sort of thing so much better than I do.

So of you're interested and brave, snag a copy of this fun new reading material.  Send reviews - send questions.  Better yet, send copies to your developers.  This should keep them busy until the C&S APIs come out sometime in the not too distant future.
