Speaking Season

ND 8 Beta has been keeping me busy lately .  That, and working with Partners to get ready for it.  Plus, preparing for speaking at the View's Admin2007 conference.

Right now,  this week, I'm hosting a forum at the Lotususergroup.org website on Calendar and Scheduling.  Come on over and join the fun!

I'm doing 2 sessions on Calendars at Admin2007.   Plus, I'm hosting a BOF on Calendars on Tuesday and will be at the Ask the Geek session on Monday night.  These are the calendar sessions:

Notes Calendar – New Tips and Tricks
Maximize use of the Notes calendar in your domain and uncover little known tips and tricks that will make your users more capable and less confused. Find out more about the recent troubles and changes that Daylight Savings caused, and make sure you’re set for future events. In this demo-heavy session you’ll discover the newest additions to Notes Calendar in Release 7, such as the ‘remove from folder’ button and imported calendars. See how calendar cleanup and various preferences can simplify your life, find out how to search for free time in a more meaningful way, and walk away with the know-how to manage user’s calendars more efficiently.

Under the Hood of Rooms and Resources Functionality in Domino
This session dives into the architecture of the Resource Reservations system, how and why it changed from 6.x to 7, and what the changes mean to the stability of your C&S world. Understand how reservation requests, updates, cancellations, and repeating reservations work, and gain the knowledge you need to effectively troubleshoot issues. This session will reveal how best to run a mixed environment with multiple versions, both client and server, and gives you expert tips on troubleshooting room availability, repeating reservations, and many more topics. Walk away with confidence, knowing how to make your users happier and more efficient when it comes to using Rooms and Resources, and calendars in general.

Plus, I just pulled together two of the new best Practices docs - one for C&S and one for Security.

Oh, I'll also be doing 3 other sessions and helping my colleagues in ISV Technical Enablement with some of the Hands-On labs like the ones we had in the Developer's Sanctuary at Lotusphere this year.
